If you're looking to learn a bit more about Ford models stack up against their competitors, do so then set up a test drive to see how the Ford truck handles in person.

The Ford F-150 vs the Ram 1500: Here's What You Need to Know

  • The F-150 offers seven trim levels (XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor). The Ram 1500 touts seven trim models as well.
  • The F-150 boasts a total of six engine options with its top-performing High-Output 3.5-liter EcoBoost generating 375 horsepower Best-in-Class 470 pound-feet of torque. The Ram 1500 only offers four engine options with its top-tier 5.7-liter HEMI V8 generating 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
  • The F-150 showcases a Best-in-Class payload capacity while further sporting an available conventional tow rating of 13,200 pounds. The Ram 1500 is only capable of towing up to 12,750 pounds.
  • Both models feature off-road trucks (F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 Rebel) and while the Rebel is more affordably priced, it just can't match the impressive features of the trail-ready Raptor. For instance, the Ford truck features the High-Output 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, a trail control system, and high-output off-road FOX Live Valve Racing Shox.
